I am just starting to blog and it will take a while to get into the rhythm of things. My 5.4 yr old German Spitz, Jimmy died rather suddenly a week ago, haven 't been able to come to terms with that.Death is frightening, augmented by the loneliness, helplessness and finality it brings.I like to generally be in control of life in general and when things go awry I grieve deeply in my heart.
The Va. massacre is devastating.Is this the mini "great tribulation" period we are living in?

Despite my New year's resolution NOT to read any new blogs as I have so many others on my list, I couldn't resist the recommendation from John Cowart AND the title of your blog Heat and Dust. I really enjoyed reading that book by Ruth Jhabvala and have gone on to read many more by her.
I hope you enjoy your blogging, but warning: it is addictive and can start to take up a lot of your time.
